Kyocera Revolution 5.5″ Ceramic Santoku Knife

The Kyocera Revolution Series Ceramic 5.5″ Santoku Knife features a razor-sharp, exceptionally strong, lightweight ceramic blade. This ceramic blade, made from Kyocera’s proprietary Japanese ceramic, zirconium oxide, is inert, and will not discolor food or alter its taste. In addition, the blade will never rust, corrode or pit. Made of ceramic that is ground very fine and highly polished, it will retain its sharpness at least 10 times longer than any other blade – including one made from high carbon steel.

The light weight of this knife and its ergonomic handle reduce fatigue during repetitive cutting.

The santoku is an all-purpose kitchen knife with a name meaning “three virtues.” The “three virtues” of the Santoku Japanese blade shape are twofold: referring to the three types of food the Santoku is designed to prepare – vegetables, poultry and fish – and the three types of cuts at which it excels – slicing, dicing and chopping.
